Often I come across some product or service ideas to try and I move a little inch forward or never moved an inch forward, but drop just after brainstorming enough. Very often it was dropped because of an unknown space where I don’t have a sense of whether will it work out or doom. Here I’m taking a different approach to building in public, maybe public motivates me more than just doing it silo get it done. First of all, I’m about to collect various ideas here before embarking on any specific one.
First Idea: Door status indicator
How often have you gone back to check if you had latched/locked your doors properly? I often have done that. Almost every night after in bed, I get up to check if the door is open or closed downstairs. Or I would have gone away to some place but anxious if the door is closed.
If there is a simple device that can sense the door status like latch or lock or open or closed statuses and keep you informed on the smart device. Notice all of those are different statuses which will give you different meanings.
Idea 2: Feature Wall
Probably this could be a custom product where user can upload their wall photos and customize them into the feature wall. It can start with simple like providing various feature design products. The product could be circular prints to stick on the wall for painting like tape or film. More details here
